Beyond the Stage Experiences: The Cruise Experience offers dancers and performers the ultimate opportunity to go beyond the stage—training, rehearsing, and performing in a setting unlike any other. Set sail aboard Royal Caribbean’s new ship, Utopia of the Seas, for four unforgettable nights filled with an exclusive dance workshop, choreography sessions, and a live performance at sea.
Created for dancers aged 8 and up, this unique experience blends the passion for dance and performance with the fun of a family getaway. While dancers showcase their talents at sea, families can take advantage of everything the ship has to offer—whether it’s gourmet dining, top-tier entertainment, or optional excursions to Nassau and Perfect Day at CocoCay. Every aspect is expertly organized to provide a smooth, memorable, and uplifting experience for both performers and their families.

The New York City Experience is perfect for dancers and performers passionate about musical theatre who have a solid foundation in dance and want to deepen their craft. This experience is open to participants aged 9 and up who have either been awarded a scholarship through one of our partner events (see below) or have submitted a video audition online. It is ideal for those eager to learn from industry professionals and take their skills to the next level. We expect this event to reach capacity quickly, so be sure to confirm your spot as soon as possible.
The Cruise Experience is designed for dancers aged 8 and up who want to take their skills beyond the traditional stage and discover what it’s like to perform abroad—in this case, on a world-class cruise ship. This unique opportunity allows dancers to experience life as a professional cruise performer, rehearse and perform in a prestigious onboard theater, and enjoy an unforgettable vacation with family.
Please note: the dancer's parent or guardian must be at least 21 years old, and infants must be at least 6 months old to sail.
The New York City Experience November 13-16, 2025, is now sold out. We will be releasing our November 2026 dates and NEW experiences soon.
The Cruise Experience is taking place January 26-30th, 2026.

Scholarships can be won at one of our esteemed partner competitions/conventions (see below). By participating in these competitions/conventions, you have the chance to showcase your skills and earn a scholarship through your outstanding performance.
Scholarships cannot be combined for use on the same experience. However, any additional scholarships may be applied to a future event.
Please email a copy of your scholarship to info@beyondthestageexperiences.ca. Include the dancers first and last name, and the competition/convention they won the scholarship at. The Nov 13-16, 2025, NYC Experience event is sold out, but we will honor scholarships towards future events including The Cruise Experience. Please ensure you have signed up for our mailing list below, so you are the first to know about our exciting NEW experiences and NYC November 2026 dates.
With limited spots available for our experiences, we encourage you to secure your place upon receipt of your scholarship (see deposit/cancellation policy).
If the event reaches full capacity or you're unable to attend rest assured your scholarship will remain valid for future experiences.
A non-refundable deposit of $250 per person is required to hold your spot. You will receive details on how to pay the deposit in your information email. For the Cruise Experience the only required deposit is the dancer. Additional guests are not required to pay a deposit to Beyond the Stage Experiences.
Deposits are also non-transferable; they cannot be applied to a different trip in future.
If a guest cancels after making additional payments beyond the non-refundable deposit, a partial refund may be considered, depending on the expenses Beyond the Stage Experiences has already paid. This will be assessed individually, taking into account what can and cannot be refunded based on the expenses already incurred.
Payment schedules vary per experience and will be outlined on your QuickBooks invoice. If you wish to make additional payments or installments outside of the suggested timeline, you are welcome to do so.
All additional nights will need to be booked through the hotel directly. Please let us know if you are requesting additional nights as we would like to try and have our travel agent link the reservations. As it is a very busy time of year in NYC, this is subject to hotel availability and rates may vary.
No, flights and airport shuttles are not included in this experience package. The hotel portion of the NYC Experience is booked through Blowes & Stewart Travel Group Ltd., a TICO-registered Ontario travel agency. The Cruise Experience is booked directly with Royal Caribbean's Group Bookings Department.
Flights and transportation to and from the airport are not included for the following reason: participants and their families will be traveling from various locations across Canada. By not bundling air and shuttle services, you have the flexibility to choose the departure airport, airline, travel dates, and travel method that best suits your family’s schedule, preferences, and budget.
This approach gives you more control over your travel plans and can potentially help you save on costs or use travel rewards.
